Day of
the show.
Doors in ten minutes and the scanner won’t cooperate? Breathe. This is your one calm place — every door tool BuzzHive gives you, in the order you’ll use it. Open it from any phone, work top to bottom, and you’re running a clean door.
Set up the door scanner
The scanner is just a web page — nothing to install. Open it on any phone (Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android) and point the camera at a ticket QR. It’s colour-coded so anyone on your crew can run it.
Give door staff a scanner login
Don’t hand out your own password. Add each door person as a Scanner team member — that role can only open the scanner and sees nothing else in your account: no sales, no payouts, no settings.
Run several scanners at once
Big door or multiple entrances? Add as many Scanner logins as you need and have each person open the scanner on their own phone — they all check people into the same event at the same time.
Scan with no signal
Basements and warehouses kill cell service — the scanner keeps working anyway.
Sell to walk-ups with a door QR
For people who show up without a ticket, print one QR and tape it at the entrance. Walk-ups scan it with their own phone, land on your event page, buy a ticket, and get their QR emailed instantly — then your door scans them in like anyone else.
Watch the live dashboard
Prop a phone on the merch table or at the door and open the Live show dashboard — a big-number, dark screen you can read from across the room that refreshes itself every 30 seconds, no tapping.
Close the door at the end of the night
Close door is your end-of-night register close — a quick cash reconciliation so your books match the drawer.
Now run
your door.
