Refunds Policy

Tickets sold through buzzhive.info are issued by independent event promoters who set their own refund policies. Smoking Gun Collective LLC operates the ticketing platform and processes payments through Stripe but does not, except as described below, control whether an individual ticket is refundable. This page explains the default rules, the situations where refunds are automatic, and how to request one.
1. Default policy: tickets are final sale
Unless a specific event's listing or the situations described below say otherwise, ticket purchases are final sale. You should treat your ticket purchase the same way you'd treat any other ticket to a live event — please be sure of your plans before buying.
2. Event canceled by the promoter
If the promoter cancels an event outright (the show isn't going to happen, ever), you are entitled to a full automatic refund of the ticket face value plus any platform service fee you paid. We process these refunds back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of the cancellation announcement. Stripe processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 per transaction) are non-refundable from Stripe and will be absorbed by the platform on canceled events.
3. Event rescheduled by 7 or more days
If the promoter reschedules the event by 7 or more days from the originally announced date, you have 14 days from the date of the rescheduling announcement to request a refund. After that 14-day window, your original ticket is considered valid for the new date and the standard final-sale policy applies. To request a refund under this rule, use our contact form with your order number and the rescheduling email you received.
4. Event moved to a different venue or material change
If the event is materially changed (different headlining artist, very different venue type, significantly different start time) you may request a refund through our contact form. We review these on a case-by-case basis with the promoter; we don't guarantee a refund in this scenario, but we do take the request seriously and respond within one business day.
5. Buyer-initiated refunds (change of plans, illness, etc.)
Refunds for personal reasons — you can no longer attend, you bought the wrong night, a scheduling conflict came up, illness, weather travel issues — are at the discretion of the individual promoter and are not guaranteed. We will pass your request along to them, but the final decision is theirs. If you want to try, contact us via the contact form with your order number and a brief explanation.
6. Fraudulent or unauthorized purchases
If your card was used to buy a ticket without your authorization, please contact us immediately via the contact form with the order number and any details you can share. We will investigate and, if confirmed, refund the unauthorized charge in full. You should also report unauthorized use to your card issuer.
7. How to request a refund
- Go to the contact form.
- Choose Refund request as the topic.
- Include your order ID or order token (you'll find it on the confirmation email you received at purchase), the event name, and a short note explaining why.
- We'll reply within one business day with a decision or, if it requires the promoter, the expected timeline for their response.
8. Refund processing timing
Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method through Stripe. Most card refunds appear on the buyer's statement within 5–10 business days, though some banks take longer. We do not offer refunds to a different card, bank account, or in any form other than the original payment method.
9. Chargebacks
We ask that you contact us via the contact form before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Most disputes can be resolved more quickly and more favorably for everyone with a direct conversation. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us — or in bad faith for tickets that were used — may result in account restrictions and may be contested through Stripe's standard dispute process.
